Job Description

Centralized Transaction Operations (CTO), which is aligned under Consumer & Community Banking, provides a wide range of global operational support and services for retail, commercial, treasury, asset wealth management and credit card customers. CTO has approximately 4,500 employees and is composed of six core operating functions; Banking Center Services, Centralized Support Services, Customer Fulfillment Services, Payment Services, Regulatory Control Operations and Service & Resolution. The Cash and Check Agile Product team is tasked with ensuring the most effective use of Technology resources to enable the best customer experience, the most efficient delivery and the safest environment for money movement in the Cash and Check space. The Product Analyst will be a critical role in delivering on the Product Team's objectives.

Internal Description

 The CCB Operations Cash and Check Operations team is responsible for creating a foundation and infrastructure that embeds agile practices and processes created, impacted or led by CCB Cash and Check Operations. We are responsible for aligning Product and Agile discipline with business strategies and priorities. Progress to agile evolution is assessed through an engagement model and supported with a cohesive set of resources and service offerings to generate value for CCB Operations, internal servicing employees and ultimately our Chase customers.

As a liaison between scrum teams and business end-users, the Analyst will ensure timely delivery of product roadmap content while identifying risks, challenges, opportunities and growth strategies, business integration needs and retirement plans. The Analyst will attend and actively participate in scrum meetings and remain engaged in scrum development.  They will interact with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, user groups and requirements gathering sessions using insight gained to complete business scope documents and define user personas for individual products. The Analyst will also serve as an escalation point for clients.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Area Product Owners and product team for ongoing refinement of product backlog and execution of the product roadmap
  • Coordinates with scrum team and technical leads to prioritize scope, objectives and constraints for development sprints
  • Act as the voice of the customer and drive product vision – ensure business and user needs are articulated as clear as possible
  • Works closely with PO/APO to understand project scope and priorities
  • Manage existing product features and actively lead the research definition and development of new features to advance the product roadmap
  • Supports creation of detailed user stories for the agile development lifecycle - Assists the team as needed to complete stories and with troubleshooting problems and developing recommendations/solutions
  • Work with other product teams, legal, risk, operations, design and technology teams to define, prioritize, deliver and align solutions to product vision and roadmap
  • Assists QA and development of tests and ongoing testing activities, clarifying acceptance criteria and use cases as needed to meet the team goal
  • Evolve to become a subject matter expert with respect to major business processes and supporting applications/capabilities
  • Ability to learn and develop comfort with Agile backlog management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Participate in Scrum Agile events and other Agile activities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to implement changes in operational policies, process flows, procedures, and specialist tools and customer messages

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Agile/Scrum certifications a plus
  • Experience working with Cash and Check Operational processes a plus 
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles, including use of Agile project management tools (i.e., Confluence, JIRA, Git, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of both Scrum and Waterfall execution strategies
  • Ability to manage the backlog
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational, time and project management skills
  • Sharp analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage continuously shifting business priorities
